Left Handed

Inclined to insincere sensuality
                  Freedom from occupation
Legalizing a human parasite
                  Blood-sucking legislature
A body of soldiers strong and unlucky
Pertaining to the direction of falling behind
Abandon death authoritatively
Prepare the skin of a legitimate man
Flavored with lemon and stomach acid
Six thousand men are split into halves
Anything that works a general change
An awkward sleight of hand is easily read
One nation unlawfully begotten
                   A marvelous and romantic leech

  1. Very aphoristic, dark but abstract. Strong tone
helps overcome a lack of specific detail. The rhythm is wonderful; the form . . . some lines really kick ass but there needs to be a counterbalance with deatils that are less gothic and understated. Nice play on words in
places--the poems are clever, witty. DDL
